The Leader is the head of all of Team Rocket. They make all the final decisions and have a say in all of the missions that go on within the organisation. The identity of the leader is currently a secret to everyone but the highest ranked members.
They make all of the decisions in the absence of the leader. Some say that the second in command was especially handpicked from the academy, by the Leader themselves, to take over the organisation in the future.
In charge of the elites, it is the executives jobs to manage the day to day running of the organisation. Staying at the base, they are present for all board meetings. Most orders and movement among the ranks come from the Executives.
The Team Rocket Elite act as field leaders during larger missions. If large groups of grunts are required for a mission, it is the Elite who receive orders from the Executives and make sure that they are carried out successfully.
Lieutenants act as micromanagers to the Elite. For smaller missions, requiring more than two grunts, teams are headed by Lieutentants.
Team Rocket has two kinds of scientists. The ones who work within the organisation and the ones that work for them on a freelance basis. The main fields of science currently researched by team rocket are weapons, technology and soldiers.
The most common of ranks, a Grunt is generally considered as a disposable pawn rather than a useful member. They are used for most missions, and are often partnered up with another Grunt for increased effectiveness in lower-profile missions.
Below grunt status, a new recruit is someone who has either been accepted into the Team Rocket academy or having been scouted after showing promise.
